Environment - Waste Tires Crisis
Since entering the 21century, the energy and environment have bought the human society significant pressure that we never experienced before. Among the solid wastes that have been produced and being created, the scrap tire not only takes a large proportion of the total waste amount but also is one of the most unmanageable varieties of all the solid contaminants.
The "black waste" belongs to the polymer material which is very difficult to decompose. The dealing measures such as stacking, landfill and burning will cause a secondary pollution. These methods not only pollute the city environment, contaminate the ground water, occupy the land resource but also breed mosquitoes and infectious disease in large areas. Meanwhile, the "black waste" is very easy to catch fire which will release some hydrocarbon and toxic gas in an incomplete burning and the blaze is very difficult to put out. Therefore, it will do harm to both the environment and the security. |
